MQB engines are currently equipped with a plastic oil pan from the factory. It’s not a bad part, but it does present the issue of plastic being more prone to crack and create an oil leak in the event of an impact over a stamped steel counterpart that will typically dent, depending on the severity of the impact. This kit allows you to change out your current plastic oil pan with a stamped steel version that bolts right up!
